New Tai Chi Class Added to LTF Schedule

LifeTime Fitness WBL is adding an hour of Tai Chi to their weekly group fitness schedule in 2018!

Beginning January 4, an additional Tai Chi class will be offered on Thursdays at 10:45am (in addition to the current Monday 8:15am classes).

The Monday morning classes have just begun learning the Yang-style Medium Form, and the Thursday morning classes will begin learning the same form.  So now you have the option of attending one or both classes every week!

This is a great time to begin learning some Tai Chi at LifeTime Fitness WBL!

P.S. Tai Chi is an excellent way to reduce holiday-related stress.

Starting December 4 at LifeTime Fitness

On December 4 at LifeTime Fitness, we will begin learning the Yang-style Medium Form in the Monday morning group fitness class.  No experience required – a great time to begin a Tai Chi practice!

Unify mind and body, improve coordination and balance, release tension and reduce stress, get comfortable owning a body.

Crane and Bear Frolics Venue Change

Due to a larger than expected registration for the Thursday afternoon Crane and Bear Frolics Qigong at LifeTime Fitness, all future classes will be held in Studio 1. Studio 1 is the larger studio located next to the cycling studio.

New Series of Qigong Classes at LTF Begin Soon

Embodying the spirit of Bear as we perform the Bear Frolics, we receive the most benefit of this very powerful form of exercise. The Classic says: “The Bear appears clumsy on the outside, but is alert and spirited within. Ponderous and solid, sunken and stable, but with lightness concealed internally. Its powerful flanks shake while moving and can be used to strike. Qi sinks to the dan tian and remains in the Middle Court.”

Come join us at LifeTime Fitness for six Thursdays beginning 11/2 at 1 p.m. as we learn and practice the Bear and Crane Frolics.

New Series of Qigong Classes at LTF Coming Soon

When performing the Crane Frolics, we want to embody the spirit of the Crane. The Classic says, “The Crane is graceful, standing like a pine. It opens its wings and soars into the clouds. Spreading wings, it lands, poised on one leg. Its qi rises and sinks with no sense of heaviness.”

Come join us at LifeTime Fitness beginning Thursday, 11/2, at 1 p.m. and learn and practice the Crane and Bear Frolics.

Qigong Classes at LTF Continue!

On November 2, we will be starting a new Qigong workshop at LifeTime Fitness in WBL. In this session of six classes we will learn and practice the two most important animal frolics — the Crane and the Bear Frolics — which are very powerful Qigong movements. Thursdays, 11/2 – 12/14 (except Thanksgiving) at 1 p.m. in studio 2.

Great reasons to learn and practice Qigong:

  • It is a simple yet very powerful form of exercise.
  • It maintains health, heals the body, calms the mind.
  • It reestablishes the body-mind-spirit connection.
  • It enhances all other forms of exercise.
  • It is easy and fun to learn!
